Romans 5:8

Even though we are sinners, Christ still died for us.

Matthew 28:18-20, "Then Jesus came near and said, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Shockwave Ministries

Salvation through Jesus is a heart thing.  Surrendering your heart to Jesus is a life-changing event.  As mentioned above, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  That is our human nature...to mess up.  Even after trusting Jesus, we will continue to mess up.  That's the beauty of salvation in Jesus, no matter how much we mess up, our sins...past, present, and future...are covered by His blood.  There is no formula for salvation.  Many people lead others to Christ through scripture and a prayer.  But just understand that there is no set procedure in scripture for becoming saved.  It's in your heart, not in your words or actions.  Consider the thief being hung on a cross next to Jesus.  He merely asked Jesus to "remember" him, and Jesus told him they would be in heaven together.  The hope in Jesus is available for all.

The simple ABC's of salvation are simple:

     A - Admit that I am a sinner (Romans3:23; Romans 6:23)

B - Believe that Jesus is God's Son, that He died for me, and rose again for my sins (John 3:16, Romans 5:8-10)

C - Confess that He is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9-13)
